What insurance coverage is provided during motorcycle transport?

Every vehicle transported by Move Motorbikes is covered by £50,000 specialist Goods-in-Transit insurance and comprehensive public liability protection. Unlike generic couriers or non-specialist networks, our policy covers high-value superbikes, custom builds, classics, and quads during loading, transit, and unloading. How are motorbikes secured inside the van to prevent damage?

We use heavy-duty commercial front-wheel chocks, soft tie loops, and multi-point ratchet anchor straps that secure the bike upright without compressing internal fork seals. Are motorcycles transported inside an enclosed vehicle or on an open trailer?

All motorcycles are transported 100% inside fully enclosed, high-security, weatherproof vans. We do not use open trailers or roof mounts, guaranteeing total protection from road debris, salt, grit, weather extremes, and opportunistic theft.

What loading equipment do you use for heavy tourers and lowered bikes?

Our vehicles feature extra-long, high-weight-capacity aluminium arch ramps and heavy-duty electric winches for safe, ground-level loading of non-runners, heavy cruisers, and lowered sportbikes. This eliminates bottoming out on exhaust headers, sumps, or lower fairings.

Can you collect a motorbike I bought on eBay, AutoTrader, or Facebook Marketplace?

Yes, collecting online purchases is one of our primary services through our Marketplace Collection Service. Dale conducts an extensive visual pre-collection check, inspects visible frame and engine numbers against the V5 logbook, photographs the machine, and checks for fluid leaks before loading.

Can you handle payment or verify paperwork on collection with a private seller?

Yes, we can inspect the V5C registration document, service records, spare keys, and MOT certificates before you release final funds to the seller. Once Dale verifies the condition and documents on-site, you can safely complete your bank transfer with total confidence.

Can you collect salvage or non-running bikes from Copart, BCA, or dealer auctions?

Yes, Move Motorbikes regularly handles auction collections from Copart, British Car Auctions (BCA), and salvage yards across the UK. We carry winches and ramp extensions to safely load non-runners, accident-damaged machines, rolling chassis, and project bikes.

What documentation do I receive upon delivery of my motorcycle?

You receive a complete electronic collection and delivery report including high-resolution timestamped handover photos, signed confirmation of delivery, and proof of inspection.
